September 1970 – March 2007: it has been 37 years since our school was founded. Every year that has passed since then meant new learning experiences, progress, regardless of the period. We believe that the future of this school is as important as the past, this being the reason we try to think ahead.

Nowadays, society in general is undergoing a series of dynamic changes, and so do individual areas of it such as education or science. There is also an ongoing international debate on “a new school for a new society” and on “the ‘bankruptcy’ of the world’s educational systems” and consequently the necessity of reorganization arises.

Similarly, there are voices arguing that we are not only facing “an era of change, but also a change of era in the history of humankind as a whole”. This being the context, it is only natural that we should ask ourselves: what is the role that our National College is going to play?

As Akey said : “The best way to predict the future is to invent it”. Therefore, we are trying to invent the future of our young educational establishment by way of giving up false certainties and facing change open-mindedly . We wish our school to be, first and foremost, a nationally representative one amongst the schools with the same profile, with a staff of competent teachers, highly-motivated and open to change, with high-quality students that would strengthen our already renown identity.

Not only that, but we intend to become involved in yet more national and international projects, to obtain guarantees, to set up partnerships with similar foreign institutions. We also work continually to equip our school with a superior IT system, to improve the standards of our labs, classrooms and C.D.I.

As for the teaching strategies, we are proud to say that the new, modern, interactive and formative pedagogical techniques are already an important gain for all of our teachers and students.
