THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR FESTIVITY 2006/2007

The end of the year festivity welcomed the Minister of Education, Mr Cristian Adomnitei. He openly spoke to the pupils, wishing them good luck in the final exams the graduates would sit, as well as lots of success in their study.

    

  

THE COLLEGE UNIFORM

The school uniform has been implemented since the second semester of the school year 2006/2007. This is a distinct symbol that confers our school certain individuality. Furthermore, there were the students who chose their favorite pattern. After being voted in the teachers’ meeting, the uniform became obligatory for the pupils in our college who now wear it with pride as they belong to an excellent school, where diligence and quality prevail.

THE COLLEGE THEATRE GROUP -  FRANCOPHONE THEATRE

 

DRAMATIS PERSONAE , the francophone theatre group of our College, led by Mr Nicolae Weisz, is made up of very talented 10th and 11th grade students in our school.

Over the years, the group has been awarded  numerous prizes for their  exceptional performace  at all the festivals they  took part in . With the young actors changing every year, the only constants in the group are its coordinator, Mr Weisz, as well as the success and applause they enjoy at every theatre festival.

From the first play, which was staged on the 15th December 1993, the group took part in  over 35 international francophone theatre festivals for highschool students in Romania, Hungary (3 festivals), Yugoslavia, Srbia, the Czech Republic, Italy (4 festivals), France (3), Belgium (2), Spain, Holland, Canada and many others. Guests of honour, ” Dramatis Personae” simply captivate the audiences, and the student-actors have real chances of becoming great actors.

The group has received numerous awards over the years, and three times were the Great Prize winners: at the International Francophone Highschool Theatre Festival in Arad,  in Brno (the Czech Republic) and also in Cagliari (Sardinia,  Italy). All these awards are the result of the hard work combined with real talent and a strong passion for the francophone world of the group and their coordinator.

Every year, the group is invited for shows at the French Embassy in Bucharest, and  these talented young people, together with their director, Mr Weisz, make the name of our  school  well-known in many parts of the world.

Some of the council’s most important activities were:

 

  • The organization  of  activities for the International Day of fight against terrorism: Sept 11th
  • The organization of  activities together with the Red Cross for the European Day of First-Aid
  • the students attended formation courses organized by the TNT foundation for the youth
  • the organization of  a show  in the festivity hall of the college, occasioned by the National Day  of Romania
  • the choir of our school took part in a carol-singing competition, organized by the school Inspectorate and the Maramures Chamber of Commerce
  • the organization of the ” O, Christmas Tree” show, in the festivity hall  of the College.
